Dan has been in the banking, lending, and insurance field since 2002. Originally, Dan started working with Wells Fargo, gaining industry experience with regards to retail banking. In 2005, Dan left Wells Fargo to partner in 3 companies, a mortgage operation, title insurance operation, and a real estate operation. It was during this time Dan met his current partners in SIP, Taryn and Eric. In 2008, Dan founded Paragon Insurance Group with his Partner, John Klinkenberg, a company that still thrives today. Dan used his banking and real estate industry background to develop forward thinking processes for Paragon, which he still utilizes today in the operation of Simplified Insurance Planners. His experience in operations and customer service allows him to handle as well as exceed the expectations of his clients.

Originally from Wisconsin, Dan currently resides in Minneapolis with his wife and children.

Prior to starting SIP, Taryn gained a wealth of experience in different aspects of Financial Services. In the early 2000's he founded an independent mortgage lending company in the Twin Cities, Landmarq, which was primarily focused on lending for condominiums. In 2010 when he sold Landmarq to a regional bank, the company had expanded to five offices and a team of 60. Taryn joined LeaderOne Financial in 2014 as Senior Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Taryn's strengths and reputable business acumen (with focuses on risk, compliance, and operations) has allowed him to successfully navigate the Financial Services industry for more than a decade.

Outside of work Taryn spends time with his wife, Venessa, and their three kids: Talan, 12, Isabella, 10, and Malia, 5. As a family, they enjoy going to their cabin in Hayward, Wisconsin and watching their kids play sports.

Eric Lovins started his first business when he was 21 years old, but Eric really started to develop his leadership skills early on through athletics. In the beginning of his career, he knew he had the natural ability to listen and see what others needed and how to help them. He has continued to develop these skills while in the Financial Services industry. Since then, Eric has built and sold two successful mortgage companies.

Eric believes his purpose is to help others see their true potential (he often sees it before they do!) and believe that they can be or do anything. He is never one to stand in the limelight, but instead cheers, leads, coaches, and challenges others to grow. He will meet people wherever they are in their journey and take them to places they didn't know were possible. Eric has lead loan officers over the years who have originated more than $3 billion worth of mortgage loans. If you want to take your game/career/life to the next level, Eric is the person to meet.

Eric splits his time between Chicago and Minneapolis. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Nichole, traveling, running, working out, cooking, searching for the best barbeque ribs in the country, cheering on his beloved Cubs, reading, and hanging out with their family and friends.

As a graduate of the University of Minnesota Morris, John uses his education background to help teach his clients why coverages are important to their specific needs. In 2008, John co-founded Paragon Insurance Group with Partner, Dan Schuler.

When John isn't helping people with their insurance needs, he is partaking in one of his many hobbies including sports, music, and cooking. John lives in Chanhassen with his wife and daughter.
